Program Details
The foundation level is for those with minimal familiarity and skill in general English and the IELTS exam. This section has two goals: in addition to strengthening language learners’ language skills implicitly and continuously, it introduces them to the IELTS test and improves their general English language level. The foundation level focuses on building a solid basis of grammar, vocabulary, and essential and practical skills of language learners.
Classes:
- ENGL100: Essential English Language Skills: Foundations 1
- ENGL101: Essential English Language Skills: Foundations 2
Prerequisites:
- Placement test
- Successful interview
At the bridging level, the primary topics from the previous level are repeated and reviewed, and at the same time, some new information is added. Therefore, as the name of the level suggests, language learners try to move beyond their basic capabilities and get familiar with limited but more complex structures and learn to use vocabulary with limited flexibility. This level targets a band score between 4.5 to 5.5 for those interested in taking the IELTS test.
Classes:

- ENGL202: Essential English Language Skills: Bridging 2
Prerequisites:

At the development level, the learners deal with abstract and non-everyday concepts. Learners have learned enough about everyday issues and the language used for daily conversations at the previous two levels. Now is the time to step up and go to a higher level of the four skills. Therefore, topics become very broad, and although limited, language learners will be able to use a mix of simple and complex structures. This level targets a band score between 5.5 to 6.5 for those interested in taking the IELTS test.
Classes:
- ENGL300: Essential English Language Skills: Development 1
- ENGL303: Essential English Language Skills: Development 2
Prerequisites:
- Placement test
- Successful interview
- ENGL 202 or equivalent
The expansion level is suitable for people who need a higher level of English due to studying or being in the workplace or need a band score of 6.5 or more in their IELTS exam. At this level, language learners will have the ability to understand the main topic of complex texts, even in their professional and work fields. In addition, they will be able to communicate with native people easily with their conversation skills.
